Texas Chicken Patty Rears Ugly Head Again

Convicted killer Gustavo Garcia was executed by the state of Texas tonight for his part in the shotgun slaying of a gas station clerk during a robbery in 1990. Texas no longer allows special last meal requests, so Garcia was served the same food as others in his unit. This included the ubiquitous chicken patty, which has appeared on quite a few last meal menus over the years. Gustavo Garcia's last meal also included macaroni & cheese, sweet peas, carrots, pinto beans, sliced bread, and a choice of water, tea or punch to drink.
